Is Rialachas Plean Margaíochta Too

An chúis a chaitheamh againn an oiread sin ama (nó ba chóir, mar sin féin) working out governance plans is because we want the SharePoint solution to be as effective as possible. We want good infrastructure and rules to keep it humming and safe in case of disaster. We want good security processes to both properly secure the environment but also make it reasonable to manage. We want a good information architecture that will stand the test of time, ideally managing to survive a major organizational change in the company.

Chun cuspóir inmhianaithe a bhaint amach, Is féidir cáipéis rialachais agus plean chineachadh isteach a bunch de "beidh tusa" agus "Ní dhéanfaidh tusa ar", mar atá i:

  • Ní bheidh Thusa chruthú SharePoint grúpa slándála; AD úsáid in ionad.
  • Ní bheidh Thusa fillteáin i leabharlanna doiciméad chruthú; úsáid a bhaint as cineálacha ábhar agus tuairimí ionad.
  • Beidh tusa a chruthú gach cineál ábhar doiciméad bunaithe ar thalamh le cineál sonrach bonn saincheaptha.
  • Ní bheidh Thusa chruthú tacsanomaíocht eolais bunaithe ar thalamh chairt org an lae inniu cuideachta.

"Déanfaidh Thou" agus "Ní bheidh tusa" Tá a n-áit cinnte sa phlean rialachais.

A more successful governance plan will also have a strong marketing angle. It should sell and justify itself to the maximum extent possible. A truly successful governance plan relies upon the voluntary cooperation of all SharePoint users. (Tá cásanna imeall an áit a bhfuil bhfuil feidhm ag comhar an phobail ag teastáil, mar shampla nuair a bhíonn SharePoint úsáid ag líon an-bheag na n-úsáideoirí a bhainistiú go docht; Tá mé cinnte gur féidir leat smaoineamh ar dhaoine eile). If the user community doesn’t buy into your governance plan then it will be partially successful at best.

I use that word “buy” deliberately. The community will buy the governance plan if it’s fundamentally sound and you go to some effort to sell them on it. Selling leads to marketing and that’s why I think that a governance plan should be considered a marketing plan too. Convince your end users that they need to follow the governance plan and they will voluntarily follow it. If you can get a critical mass of people following the governance plan then the plan’s benefits follow and you’ll have a stronger environment for it.

Réiteach: Thiomsú CAONAIGH Lucht Féachana Adds Uimh Baill Nua

Bottom line: más mian leat a úsáid ar mhaoin próifíl i riail don lucht féachana a chruthú, Ní mór an mhaoin a bheith le feiceáil le "gach duine."

I was working with a co-worker yesterday and he was building out a MOSS audience based on a custom user profile property in MOSS. Sa chás seo, Is é an mhaoin lucht féachana darb ainm "SITECD" agus de réir an ghnáis, Stórálann a 3 Cód carachtar. Bhí sé an lucht éisteachta sainithe agus riail a dúirt go más rud é "ionann SITECD 'ABG'", ansin áireamh go phróifíl úsáideora sa lucht féachana.

Bhunaigh sé phróifíl úsáideora amháin leis an luach agus tiomsaíodh an lucht féachana, but MOSS simply wouldn’t add that user. I noticed that the privacy setting for that profile was set to “me only” (an fhoirm is sriantach) and I remembered reading somewhere that property profiles used in rules must be visible by “everyone”. He made that change and that solved the problem.

The really funny thing about this is that I “remembered” reading about this. It was nagging at me this morning for some reason and I realized that I had written a chapter in this book, CAONAIGH Míniú: An Oibrí Faisnéise Léim Deep isteach i SharePoint Microsoft Server Oifig 2007, agus gur clúdaithe mé an bpointe seo sa chaibidil an-scríobh mé :). I would have thought that every word I wrote in that chapter would be seared into my memory.

Matt Morse scríobhann seo suas go mion álainn anseo agus tagairt mé é sa chaibidil: http://blogs.pointbridge.com/Blogs/morse_matt/Pages/Post.aspx?_ID=50

Ag baint úsáide as MSDN (agus eile) Fóraim do SharePoint Tacaíocht

Raibh mé in ann a scríobh ar fad ag mór faoi fóraim MSDN, etiquette, coinbhinsiúin a ainmniú, cuardaigh, etc. I may do that, i ndáiríre. I wanted to point out a small thing which may help people have a better overall experience.

Tá mé le déanaí ag daoine ag rá go má ritheann tú i chineál éigin de fhadhb le do thimpeallacht SharePoint, tionscadal forbartha nó gníomhaíocht eile a bhaineann le SharePoint, post a question to the forums earlier in your action chain rather than later. I know for myself that when I have a problem, a number of potential solutions present themselves right away. I order these potential solutions in terms of likelihood, applicability and how easy they are to investigate. I go through that list and by the time I’ve gotten to #10, Tá mé ag déanamh athruithe registry go dtí eochair "/ foo / bar / almostThere / isThisIt / noThisIsNotIt / iCantBelieveIAmDoingThis / finallyThere!"Ar chomhairle ar bhlag le fáil ar leathanach 8 of a Google search. When that doesn’t work, Mé sa phost ar deireadh ceist a MSDN (e.g. anseo: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepointgeneral/threads).

I suggest that you reverse that approach. Post the forums much earlier in your investigation because:

  • Tá sé saor in aisce a thabhairt duit ar aon nós.
  • Níl aon SLA ráthaithe (de a bhfuil mé ar an eolas, ar a laghad).
  • Dá bhrí sin,, Is féidir é a chur ar feadh i bhfad do dhaoine chun freagra a.
  • Is minic a dhéanann daoine freagra sa deireadh.
  • Má fhanann tú go dtí 2 nó 3 lá tar éis an fhadhb dromchla den chéad uair, tá tú frantic do fhreagairt agus nach bhfuil fóraim áit mhaith chun cabhair éigeandála (ach amháin má tá tú ádh).

Mar sin,, go bunúsach, tá sé éasca agus saor in aisce agus tá tú lámhaigh maith ag dul de shaghas éigin freagra, ach beidh sé a ghlacadh ar feadh tamaill a fháil go freagra (arís, ach amháin má tá tú ádh).

I used to think that I should hold off on looking for community help because I don’t want to waste someone’s time asking for help when I could find it out myself. Some forum moderators and active participants may feel that way, ach ní féidir liom (ar a laghad, Ní féidir liom a bhraitheann go bhealach ar bith níos mó). I don’t see any downside. The worst case is that you post a question and then answer it yourself some time later, possibly “wasting” some one’s time. I don’t see a big risk in that and there’s value in the researching of questions like that in any event.

Nóta Beaga Maidir Microsoft Líne Pasfhocail Seirbhísí agus Riarachán

Thosaigh mé ag obair le Microsoft Gnó Beag ar Líne Suite Táirgiúlacht roinnt míonna ó shin, but now I have some better reason to be using it.

Tá mé fós ag obair ar mo bhealach timpeall air, mar sin is féidir liom a bheith ag fáil cuid de na mícheart téarmaíocht, ach go bunúsach tá dhá comhéadain móra: an t-ionad riaracháin agus na seirbhísí iad féin.

Cuireadh an córas ag insint dom go raibh mé a athrú mo phasfhocal, so I went ahead and did that. That allowed me to proceed and work with the services part (SharePoint, r-phost, agus cruinniú beo). Mar sin féin, nuair a chuaigh mé go dtí an scáileán riaracháin, Ní bheadh sé in iúl dom i ag insint dom nach raibh sé Creidim mo phasfhocal bhí ceart.

The behavior was a little odd. If I entered the password I *thought* it should be, it would blank out the userid and the password and tell me the password or userid was incorrect. If I entered a blatantly wrong password, bheadh sé inis dom mar an gcéanna, ach a choinneáil ar an réimse ID úsáideora slán.

Tá mé ag seinm ar fud leis seo ar feadh tamaill beag agus ar deireadh ar a dtugtar (yes, ar maidin Dé Domhnaigh). Incredibly, ina comhalta, Ben, answered the phone right away. Agus, Ní raibh mé ag dul isteach cárta creidmheasa.

Fada scéal gearr, the administration center password uses different password rules than the services password. Admin password must contain alpha, numeric and special characters. When I changed my admin password the first time, Ní raibh mé a leanúint an riail (ná ní raibh sé rabhadh a thabhairt dom!). I was able to change it to a valid administration password and got back in.

Má bhíonn tú chineál sin de fadhb sa todhchaí, Tá a fhios agat cad a d'oibrigh le haghaidh dom agus tá súil againn go mbeidh sé ag obair ar do shon.

SharePoint mar Córas Oibriúcháin Gnó

Ó shin i leith a chuala mé a ceanglófar, reportedly le linn Q&A seisiún le Steve Ballmer Márta 2007, I’ve sort of been holding my breath for something to happen. The quote was basically this: “SharePoint is an operating system for business applications.” Knowing a fair bit about SharePoint and a middling bit about operating systems, I thought it was really apt. I’m holding my breath, waiting for companies to really buy into that concept and start to build applications within the SharePoint “operating system.”

Tá mé chaith a lán de smaoinimh ar an ábhar seo i mbliana (dul ar ais go dtí mo 2009 tuar) agus tá mé ag dul chun labhairt ar seo ag an 2 Bealtaine Dé Sathairn SharePoint imeacht i Washington.

Is é seo an teibí mo láthair ar, dar teideal "Ag baint úsáide as an Ardán SharePoint chun Tógáil Iarratais Ghnó Ingearach":

"Cothrománach?"" Ingearach?"Cad é a chiallaíonn na focail seo i gcomhthéacs SharePoint? SharePoint, a chuala muid go minic, is "ardán" le haghaidh iarratas tógála. Is é seo an bhfíric caillte go minic ar orainn ó na gnéithe ardán mar a thugtar air cothrománach, cosúil le bainistíocht doiciméad agus cuardach, are so easy and useful in and of themselves. Mar sin féin, SharePoint Is fiú níos cumhachtaí agus beidh sé ar ais luach níos fearr nuair a úsáidtear chun iarratais a chruthú ingearach in oiriúint chun freastal lá do ghnó 'go lá riachtanais. Cur síos ar an seisiún seo conas a assemble gnéithe ardán isteach i réiteach verticalized ag baint úsáide as sampla gnó fíor domhan - próiseas bainistíochta ceanglófar díolacháin agus geata do chustaiméirí. Is é sprioc an chainteora a oscailt do shúile chun na féidearthachtaí an ardán SharePoint agus a ghiaráil na gnéithe ardán cothrománach a chruthú réitigh ghnó speisialaithe le haghaidh do eagraíocht ingearach.

Más rud é nach bhfuil faoi réir snámhphointe do bhád, there are a bunch of other good topics. And DC is a great venue in and of itself to visit.

Clárú Osclaíonn an Déardaoin seo, 04/16. Keep on top of the site and grab a seat before it’s too late 🙂

Miontuairiscí Cheanada

An uair seo an tseachtain seo caite, Bhí mé i Montréal, ag freastal ar an molta go mór SharePoint Cruinniú Mullaigh 2009. I gave a 3.5 hour tutorial on installing and customizing SharePoint. It was a scary subject on many levels. I’m not really a SharePoint admin, ach tá a fhios agam go leor chun a thabhairt ar an teagaisc ar an ábhar. (Thankfully, Geoff SCHALLER ó Cuspóirí Bogearraí san Astráil, i measc roinnt eile, bhí sa slua a fhreagairt ar roinnt de na ceisteanna níos doimhne [Níl a fhios agam cad a chuir siad san uisce síos ann, ach is gá dúinn roinnt de na sé anseo sna Stáit Aontaithe]).

Ach, back to many levels of scariness… It had a lot of potential to be very boring. I actually installed WSS and then upgraded it to MOSS. In front of a room full of people. Canadian poeple. There were long 5 agus 7 minute gaps where we were watching the installation process chug along. I needed to fill that time with something useful and interesting. I’m not sure I succeeded.

Mar fhocal scoir, it was loooong. Three and one half hours. That’s a long presentation. I made a little joke of it, saying “We have a long presentation ahead of us. Three and one half hours. That’s 210 nóiméad. And I don’t even know how many minutes that is in Canadian.”

Tá ag gach duine gáire agus mar thoradh air sin, Montreal is officially on my Good Places list 🙂

Fiú más rud é nach raibh siad ag gáire mo joke, I would love Montreal. I try very hard to be open minded and not take my cues from South Park, ach mé a admháil, le mo Chagrin, that I had no idea how great is the metropolis of Montreal. I can’t wait to go back in a few months, nuair a tá sé ina beagán níos teo, chun cuairt a thabhairt arís.

Ar saghas nóta a bhaineann, Shuigh mé freisin trí Erik Swenson chéad chur i láthair an phobail dar teideal "IA agus Brandáil Próiseas: Sceitsí do Wireframes chun Designs Hi-Fidelity. " (Is é Erik mo chomhghleacaí EMC). Check out the abstract here: http://www.sharepointsummit2009.com/conference_day2.htm. Thaifeadadh mé fiú é a dó. I tried several times for some “action shots” and zoomed in on him when he paused to drink some water. I didn’t always succeed, but I tried 🙂
